What is OPG?
An Orthopantomogram (OPG) is a panoramic X-ray that captures a wide view of the upper and lower jaws, teeth, and surrounding structures in a single 2D image. It is commonly used for general dental assessments and provides a comprehensive overview of oral health.

Preparation for OPG and CBCT
- No special preparation is required for either scan
- Remove metal objects such as jewelry, glasses, hearing aids, and removable dental appliances (dentures, retainers) before the scan
- Wear comfortable clothing
- Inform our staff if you are pregnant or suspect you may be pregnant
What to Expect During the Scan
- The procedure is quick, painless, and non-invasive
- You will be seated or positioned comfortably
- The machine rotates around your head for about 10–20 seconds
- You must remain still during the scan to ensure image clarity
- No radiation remains in your body after the scan
